What the price includes - and what it does not
On every new connection the price covers the set-top box, the dish antenna, the LNB, the remote, the cabling for a standard installation, and the installation visit itself. There is no separate installation charge and no separate delivery charge.
What it does not cover is your ongoing monthly pack on a subscription connection - though on Tata Play and Dish TV the entire Rs 3,600 is credited to your account as viewing balance, so your first year of a modest pack is effectively already paid for. On DD Free Dish there is no monthly pack at all.
Why there is a Rs 399 advance
Booking a connection commits a technician visit and hardware to your address. The Rs 399 advance confirms the booking; the balance is paid at your door when the connection is actually delivered and installed, so you are not paying in full for something that has not arrived yet.
Is a cheaper price always better?
Compare what is in the box. A quoted price that excludes the dish, the cabling or the installation is not the same product as one that includes them. Every price on this page is for a complete, installed connection.
Refunds, stated plainly
Installation is the point of no refund - once a connection is installed and activated, the service has been delivered. Before installation, if you cancel from your side and we were able to provide the service, 12% is deducted for TDR and service charges and the balance is refunded. If SATITV cannot provide the service at your location, you are refunded 100% with nothing deducted.

How much do I pay upfront?
Rs 399 as a booking advance. The balance is paid at your doorstep when the connection is delivered and installed.

Do I still have to recharge after paying?
On Tata Play and Dish TV, yes - but the full Rs 3,600 is credited as viewing balance first, so a modest pack runs for roughly a year before you spend anything more. On DD Free Dish there is no recharge at all.
What is the cheapest way to get a TV connection?
The DD Free Dish box on its own at Rs 2,100, if you already have a working DD Free Dish antenna. Otherwise the DD Free Dish Complete Connection at Rs 3,200, which never needs a recharge.
